The Eiffel Tower - All the Way to the Top!

After not being able to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower the previous day because it was closed due to high winds, we headed out the next day to try it again.

Standing in line, we got a view up the middle of the tower.

Success! We're on the elevator!

And we made it to the top! Looking west along the Seine -

North across the Seine at the Palais de Chaillot -

And east along the Seine.

We can see the Arc de Triomphe from here -

And off in the distance, on the top of a hill, Sacre Coeur, where we're going later.

We then took the top elevator down to the lower level -

And walked down to the "First Floor."

On the way, we could see the lower diagonal elevator.

On the first floor, the floor is glass in some places so you can look straight down.

We then went the rest of the way down, and went looking for lunch, but not without one more shot of the Eiffel Tower.

We settled on crepes for lunch (not a surprise)... I had chocolate and banana, but was too busy eating to take a picture until I was almost done.

We did a lot more today, but that will be in another post.
